Overview
This Privacy Policy applies to the Smart Wheel App on iOS, Android and HarmonyOS. The current version has no account system, no advertising, no Analytics or statistics SDKs, and no cloud synchronization. The current business logic does not proactively upload measurement data to SNDAS business servers.
Information
Smart Wheel processes the following categories of data locally on the device to provide measurement, recording, display and export functions:
- Measurement/project data: project names, measurement history, tracks, distance, area, calculation results, display settings and background image configuration.
- Measuring-wheel device information: device name, device identifier/address, most recent connection time, wheel circumference and device parameters.
- Motion sensors: gyroscope and accelerometer readings used for heading and attitude calculations.
- User-selected images: images actively selected by the user for use as a background image.
Permissions
The App requests and uses the following permissions only when the corresponding feature requires them:
- Android: BLE scanning and connection are used for the measuring wheel. On Android 11/API 30 and below, location permission is required only for BLE scanning compatibility. The App does not use this permission to obtain or save actual user location, generate location tracks, support advertising or profiling, or upload related data to a business server.
- iOS: Bluetooth is used to connect to the measuring wheel, Motion is used to read motion sensors for heading and attitude calculations, and Photos is used to access images. Images are accessed only when the user actively selects an image or saves/exports one.
- HarmonyOS: Bluetooth, Approximate Location and Accelerometer/Gyroscope are used. Approximate Location is used only for BLE scanning compatibility and is not used for navigation, advertising, profiling or location tracking.
Users can revoke or disable permissions in system settings. The related features may not work after a permission is revoked.
Storage
Measurement history and measuring-wheel device information are mainly stored in local SQLite on the device. Settings and calibration preferences are stored in local preference storage. Background images are stored in an App-managed local directory.
Measurement records are retained until the user deletes them in the App, clears the App data through system settings, or uninstalls the App. Settings and calibration preferences are retained until they are reset, App data is cleared, or the App is uninstalled. Local background images are handled through the related feature or data-management actions and are removed when the App is uninstalled.
Security measures consist of data minimization, requesting or accessing permissions only when features require them, and using operating-system-managed local App storage. There is currently no upload of measurement data to a business server.
Export
PNG, PDF, XLSX and DXF files are generated only when the user actively exports them. After export to a system location or a location selected by the user, the user manages the files. If the user actively shares an exported file with another App or service, subsequent processing is governed by that third party’s privacy rules and terms.
Third-party components and sharing
The current version has no advertising or analytics/statistics SDKs and no cloud synchronization. Smart Wheel uses the following components for local functions:
- flutter_blue_plus: local BLE scanning, measuring-wheel connection and device-data exchange, with access to Bluetooth and related device information.
- sensors_plus: access to gyroscope and accelerometer readings for heading and attitude calculations.
- permission_handler: requesting and reading system permission status; it does not handle measurement content.
- sqflite: access to the App’s local SQLite database to save and read measurement, project and device data.
- image_picker: access to images selected by the user when the user actively chooses an image for a background.
The current App business logic does not use these components to proactively upload measurement records, tracks, distance, area, motion-sensor data, location data or user-selected images to SNDAS business servers. These statements describe Smart Wheel’s current business logic and do not make an absolute statement about all network behavior of third-party components or underlying platform services. If a third-party service is introduced in the future and changes the way data is processed, this policy and the related disclosures will be updated first.
Deletion
Users can delete measurement records in the App. Clearing App data through system settings or uninstalling the App can remove App-local data; settings, calibration preferences and local background images are handled according to the related data-management actions. Files exported outside the App must be deleted by the user in the system file manager or photo library. Users can also revoke permissions in system settings, and related features may not work. The current version has no account system, so there is no account-deletion process.
Children
Smart Wheel is a measurement tool and is not intended to collect children’s personal information. The current version has no account system and does not require submission of a personal profile. A parent or guardian with questions about use by a minor or local data processing can contact us at service@sndas.com.
Changes
If this Privacy Policy or the App’s data-processing practices change, this page will be updated. The page displays the most recent update time; the effective date must be completed and checked before official store launch.
